He had a one liner for everything and could banter about anything with anybody. He knew every exit, mile marker, truck stop and good place to eat in the country. Butch had great memory from all his time on the road and loved every minute of it. He was an owner/operator truck driver for 45 years, traveling the countryside. Butch lived his life on the edge and his own terms. He was born in Madison, WI., on May 17, 1951, the son of Robert “Windy” and Beatrice (Hornbeck) Waters, and was known as his mother's “only rose”. Waters Sr., age 72, passed away peacefully at his home in DeForest on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
